MEDICARE & HEALTH INSURANCE SERVICES

Planning for healthcare can feel complicated, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. That’s why we’ve partnered with MedicareCU to provide Medicare education, guidance, and individual and family health insurance plans.

As a Rize member, you can schedule a free, no-obligation consultation with a licensed insurance agent who specializes in Medicare and private health insurance.

During your consultation, you’ll get answers to questions like:

  • Are my medications and current doctors covered?
  • What are my monthly premiums?
  • What will I pay for healthcare services?
  • How do Medicare Advantage, Supplement, and Prescription Drug plans work?
  • Do I qualify for subsidies?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps millions of people in the U.S. get the care they need. Created in 1965 under the Social Security Administration, it’s now administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

You qualify if you’re either a United States citizen or a legal resident who’s lived in the U.S. for at least five years. Typically, eligibility starts at age 65 years – but it may be sooner with a qualifying disability.

Medicare offers a range of benefits, divided into main parts:

  • Part A covers inpatient care in a hospital, skilled nursing facility care, nursing home care, hospice care, and home health care.
  • Part B covers clinical research, ambulance services, durable medical equipment, inpatient and outpatient mental health, and certain outpatient prescription drugs.
  • Part D covers most outpatient prescription drugs and can be offered on its own or included in a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan. With the right MAPD plan, you may not need a separate Part D plan.

This is a general overview. Your coverage will depend on your unique situation and federal and state. Schedule a consultation to explore the options that fit your needs.

You can update your Medicare plan each year during Open Enrollment, from October 15 through December 7.

You do not need to be a Rize Credit Union (Rize CU) member to receive a free, no-obligation Medicare consultation.
