Meet Lucy Bermudez

Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.

I work at our Irwindale branch as a Lead Teller. I work face-to-face with our members on a daily basis. I help and give our members the best service as well as handle a lot of the operational work for the branch.

What was your first job?

My first job was at the Foot Locker at the West Covina mall.

How did you come to be an SCE Credit Union team member?

I worked at State Farm Insurance before coming to work for the Credit Union. Both my mom and I are members of the Credit Union, and she knew I was looking for a better job opportunity. One time, when she came into the branch, she asked the Lead Teller if the Credit Union was hiring. It turns out they were, and I applied to work for the Boyle Heights branch.

How do you spend your free time?

I have a two-year-old and a one-year-old. I love spending time with my little family. We enjoy being able to take our kids out to do fun activities.

Do you speak any languages other than English?

Yes, I speak Spanish.
