We’re more than just a financial institution. We’re your trusted partner on your journey toward financial empowerment.

Founded in 1952 by members of IBEW Local 47, our institution later became SCE Credit Union. Over the decades, we’ve expanded our reach and now proudly offer a wide range of valuable financial products and services to members throughout Southern California and Southern Nevada.

We’re proud of our rich history, and for over 70 years,  we’ve provided knowledge, access, and care to uplift communities and secure better futures for all.  We strive not only to guide you through your finances but also to help you take control of your financial future.

Our nonprofit

In 2005 we founded the Center for Financial Empowerment (CFE). With a mission to break the cycle of poverty by bringing financial education to underserved and disadvantaged youth, funds raised for the organization are used to go into local high schools to help prepare teens for real life by teaching them to be smart with money and credit through:

  • Fun, interactive, hands-on simulations known as Mad City Money
  • Financial training in the classroom
  • College scholarships for youth from low-income households
