At Rize Credit Union, we believe it’s the people behind the scenes who help bring our mission to life every single day. Meet Banesa Herrera, a dedicated Account Administrator in our California Account Services team, who’s been part of the Rize family since 2015.
Banesa lives by the mantra: Dream big. Start small. Act now. Live by Faith. ♥ It’s a philosophy that shines through in the work she does, both with our members and her fellow team members.
In her role, Banesa wears many hats. From assisting with complex account research and maintenance to supporting branches and the Member Care Center, she plays a key part in ensuring things run smoothly. Her responsibilities include opening new accounts and IRAs, processing wire transfers and levies, and managing sensitive matters like deceased member accounts. What does she find most rewarding? Providing guidance and support – helping others is truly where her heart is.
Banesa’s journey with us started in a unique way. Her very first job was at Church’s Chicken at just 15 years old. Later, she spent several years as a teller at a check-cashing business that was eventually acquired by a credit union. The experience inspired her to explore other opportunities within the credit union space. One day, while driving past our corporate office in Irwindale, curiosity led her to check out job openings online. She applied for a teller position at the Duarte branch and has grown with us ever since – moving from teller to member service representative, to her current position as an account administrator.
Outside of work, Banesa enjoys quality time with her loved ones and creating new memories. She’s been happily married for 9 years, and together with her husband, she loves exploring new hiking trails, dancing, casino nights, and traveling. As passionate Dodgers fans, catching a game at the stadium is always a favorite pastime.
