Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.
As the Branch Manager, I lead a dedicated team to ensure every member receives exceptional service. We focus on understanding and meeting our members’ financial needs, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. I find great fulfillment in helping our members achieve their goals and seeing my team thrive. I love my job because it allows me to make a positive impact on both our members and my team.
What was your first job?
My first job was a manager at a gas station. I vividly remember making daily trips to the bank to deposit the station’s earnings. Each visit sparked my interest in banking, and I often found myself imagining a future career in the financial industry.
How did you come to be a Rize Credit Union team member?
Before joining Rize Credit Union, I managed two branches at a check-cashing business owned by a credit union. There, I helped members escape the cycle of high-interest payday and title loans, which was incredibly rewarding. When I learned about Rize Credit Union’s mission to end poverty through financial empowerment, I knew it was the perfect place for me. Their vision resonated deeply with my passion for helping others achieve financial stability.
How do you spend your free time?
I start my day with a workout at the gym, which sets a positive tone for the rest of my day. I love traveling and spending quality time with my family and fiancé. I have four daughters and a son who inspire me to be the best version of myself. We also have four beloved dogs. My family is my greatest motivation, and I strive to lead by example for them.
