Joining Rize Credit Union is simple

When you open an account, you become a member of Rize – and your needs become our priority.

To open your account, you’ll need:

  • A $5 to establish your Credit Union membership
  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • Your Social Security Number or ITIN
  • Proof of current address, if it’s not listed on your ID

How do I know if I’m eligible to join?

Eligibility is based on one or more of the following qualifying criteria:

You qualify for membership if you work for one of our Select Employer Groups (SEG), are a family member of a Rize Credit Union member, or live in a select designated community.1 If none of these are applicable, you can still join by becoming a member of the American Consumer Council (ACC) or the Quality Service Council (QSC) at no cost to you.

Spouses of persons who died while within a field of membership of the Credit Union; employees of the Credit Union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from employment; members of the immediate family or household; corporate or other legal entities in this charter, and organizations of such persons.

To open a new account, you’ll need a few basic things to get started:

    Like a driver’s license, U.S. passport, or matricula consular
  • Your Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
    We use this to verify your identity and comply with federal regulations
  • Proof of your current address
    If it’s not listed on your ID, a recent utility bill, lease agreement, or similar documentation will work
  • An opening deposit
    Most accounts can be opened with as little as $5. This deposit secures your membership in Rize and stays in your savings account, which is required for membership.

Yes, but there are a few extra steps. For youth accounts, we’ll need the minor’s Social Security Number and ID, if available, plus a parent or legal guardian as a joint owner. For other special situations, reach out via chat or visit a location – we’re here to help!
