Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.
As a Marketing Associate, I provide administrative support by proofreading marketing material, process member payouts during promotions, monitor and reconcile the department budget, distribute promotional material to all branches, order and inventory promotional items for the Credit Union. In addition, I also provide administrative support to other departments such as: Business Development, Social Impact, Center for Financial Empowerment and any other departments as needed. I enjoy working with the different departments and their team members. It’s a great feeling knowing I can assist others and make their day easier.
What was your first job?
My first job was working for another Credit Union. I started as a teller, then a loan officer and DMV processor along with Credit Card assistance.
How did you come to be a Rize Credit Union team member?
I heard about this Credit Union and thought I’d like to work for a larger Credit Union with more opportunity. I was hired at Rize Credit Union (formally SCE FCU) as a Loan Officer. Shortly after, I added the role of Auto Lease Representative and DMV processor. A year later, I began a new role in the Marketing Department and have been in marketing ever since.
How do you spend your free time?
In my spare time I enjoy being with my immediate and extended family, and with our friends. We love to travel, near and far. During our time together we ride bikes, and love watching sports – football, baseball and basketball are some of our favorites. I’ve been happily married for 25 years and have two grown children. Our 24-year-old daughter is a teacher for special needs children and our 21-year-old son is continuing his college studies. We are very proud of them both!
