Which IRA is right for you?

Traditional IRA

Funds are tax-deferred; taxed upon withdrawal
Earnings grow tax-deferred
Your income doesn’t affect yearly contribution limits
Those ages 59½ and older avoid early withdrawal tax penalties
You pay taxes on all amounts withdrawn
Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) must begin at age 72. Situations may vary; consult with a tax expert

Roth IRA

Funds are taxed before funding; qualified withdrawals are tax-free
Earnings grow tax-free
Your income affects yearly contribution limits
