Branch Manager | Nevada
Team Member since 2016
Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.
I’m the Branch Manager for the Nevada branches. The most fulfilling part of what I do is assisting our members. We have the most kind, generous, and funny members, ever! I’ve known many of them for years now and I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of their financial journey. I’ve helped members open their first account, get their first auto loan and provided solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. I enjoy working with my team and sharing my experience and knowledge. As a manager, I love to see my team learn and develop new skills – I truly enjoy seeing the empowerment they feel when they learn something new and are able to put it to good use with our members.
I personally strive to keep learning and growing within Rize Credit Union. I believe in what we do and see the amazing services we provide for our community, like financial literacy classes. The whole team at Rize Credit Union takes pride in keeping these commitments to our members and the communities we serve. We’d like our members to feel proud of the credit union they belong to.
What was your first job?
My first job was at the student store at my high school. I worked there during summer classes. It was fun and I learned important skills like cash handling and balancing down to the penny! Sorry no IOUs!
How did you come to be a Rize Credit Union team member?
I’ve been in banking for over 10 years. I started as a teller at the previous Henderson location. I had worked at other financial institutions before, but never at a credit union. I was surprised to see the huge difference between working for a bank and a credit union. The biggest difference was to see our members be treated like individuals, not a number. We truly have a commitment to be our members’ trusted partner, their biggest supporter, and cheerleader for their different financial goals.
How do you spend your free time?
I love the beach and go there as often as possible. I also love spending time with my family and friends, especially my two nephews who keep me very busy and grounded. They’re six and nine years old, so they know what’s cool.
Do you speak any languages other than English?
Yes, I speak Spanish. ¡Hola! ¡Yo hablo español! ¿Como te puedo ayudar?
