Know a student with big dreams? The Center for Financial Empowerment (CFE) is here to help.
Founded by Rize Credit Union, the CFE supports underserved young adults in Southern California and Southern Nevada. Through the CFE Scholarship Program, they help students who are ready to take their next big step – whether it’s college, trade school, or launching a career.
In 2025, $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to ten students who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and a clear passion for building a better future.
Applications are open now through July 18, 2025
Scholarship recipients will be announced in August for the 2025–2026 school year.
Who’s eligible?
To apply, students must:
- Be between 17-26 years old
- Live in Southern California or Southern Nevada
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Be accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school for Fall 2025
- Demonstrate leadership and community involvement
Membership with Rize Credit Union is encouraged but not required to apply.
What’s required?
Applicants must submit the following by July 18, 2025:
- Completed online application
- A 1-3 minute video essay
- One letter of recommendation
- Official transcripts from your most recent semester
- Proof of acceptance to a qualifying school for Fall 2025
